“I am Sophia, a Bulgarian portrait artist. Inspired by the uniqueness of human natural beauty, my art is based on recreating the human face into an art, refracted through my own prism. 

Raised in a small provincial town, аfter my teenage years I decided to move far away in the capital Sofia to study at Sofia university. Along with this I wanted to develop my art skills. Now, several years after I am a full time mum developing her small business.

Creating art has always been part of my life since I was very young. Being an artist has always been my dream and now step by step I am realizing it by creating my own way of art. Now when I can share my work with people, the greatest purpose is to bring a smile to their faces with it.

I am developing in many aspects of drawing, but for now I focus on painting portraits and illustrations with watercolours. This is the reason why I recently decided to found my own shop on Etsy. The idea is to paint a custom handmade portrait by using my imagination to represent your photos to an unique piece of art tailored specially for you.
