With Paris at the epicentre of the fashion world, its shops and popular style tend to reflect the fashion standards exhibited on its haute couture runways. As a result, searching for clothes in Paris which fit those with curves, can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. The New Look is a great place to start your shopping experience if you're looking for stylish clothing that won't burn a hole in your wallet. Parisian style isn't flashy and exotic, it’s toned down and polished and this store will help you nail the minimalist look everyone’s going for. The New Look has all the basics your closet needs to create a simple but sleek look. They carry both plus-size and curvy collections with a variety of sizes ranging from 46-60.

If you're looking for modern and unique clothing in larger sizes, take a look at Lila La Tigresse located at 119 Boulevard de Sebastopol, 75002 . Here sizes range from 38-56 and you can find everything from tailored pencil skirts to fashionable leather pants. All merchandise at Lila La Tigresse is made in France so you know you're getting the best quality for the price you’re paying. Additionally, the owner of the shop Lili, is known to be very personable with her customers and always tries to give them the best possible experience while shopping.

Located in the 11th arrondissement is Kiabi, a trendy store that carries everything you need to take your Parisian style up a notch. They have a wide variety of checkered print pants and pleated skirts sizes XL to 4XL that work perfectly as statement pieces. 


It wouldn't be a completed shopping trip in Paris without the purchase of a trendy blazer or jacket. C&A has a large selection of reasonably priced clothing ranging from sizes 44-62 in tops and 44-60 in bottoms, that would make the perfect addition to any outfit. C&A has four locations in Paris along with a handful of locations outside Paris. You can find one of the locations at Boulevard Haussmann 49 75009 near to Galerie Lafayette in the 9th Arrondissement. Galerie Lafayette is a great area to check out with beautiful cafes and pastry shops to stop by after a long day of shopping.

If dominating the streets of Paris sounds like something you'd be interested in, Almé is your next stop. Almé is a plus-sized focused brand where you can find everything from going out attire to business casual pantsuits. Almé is located in the 9th arrondissement right near C&A so you can hit both stores on the same day. Almé carries up to size 54 and is perfect for the girl who wants a cutting edge look to walk the streets of Paris. 

For a store that is not dedicated to plus sized merchandise, Violeta has quite a large selection. Violeta is the off brand of Mango which is another popular clothing store in Paris. While Mango does have a selection of plus size clothing, they do not have nearly as many options as Violeta. Under a section in their website labeled “lower body silhouettes” you can click which model has the silhouette most similar to your own and build a wardrobe based off of it. It’s a great tool to use when trying to get a sense of what would look best on your body type without having to try anything on. Sizes are available from 40-54 and Small to XXL. Violeta is also located in the 9th arrondissement at 54 boulevard Haussmann, 75009 which is walking distance from C&A.

Make your way over to Ulla Popken, a plus-sized boutique that carries both Men and Women’s clothing. Located at 32 boulevard haussmann, 75008, Ulla Popken is an upcoming and trendy store where you can find clothing for any gender and any occasion ranging from sizes LG-8XL in Mens and 12-34 in Woman’s. The store is also home to a partially and completely sustainable fashion line called PURE where you’ll find casual and workout clothing. Take a trip to 46 et plus on 77 Avenue Aristide Briand, Montrouge, 92120 where you will find brands such as Edmond Boublil, Elena miro, Ulla Popken and Zizzi. 46 et plus has a broad variety of merchandise ranging from work attire and jeans to fun and flowy dresses and skirts ranging from sizes 46-70. They have a large and diverse enough collection that you could create an entire new wardrobe just from this one store.

They carry a variety of sports clothing, suits, coats and business attire ranging from sizes 40-50.  Rafal is also known for carrying brands such as Pierre Cardin, Monte Carlo, and Bugatti at great prices. Couleurs is a large size clothing store located at 17 rue Rivoli, 75004 offering sizes 42-62. At Couleurs you’ll find around fifty different brands including Mat Fashion, Oliver Jung, Kokomarina and Chalou. They also have tailoring available if needed which is a great added bonus to shopping at Couleurs.

Next up is Marina Rinaldi, a ready to wear plus size brand with three locations in Paris: 20 rue Royale, 75008, 56 rue du Four, 75007 and 7 avenue Victor Hugo, 75010. Marina Rinaldi is an upscale brand, so when shopping expect to find higher prices but good quality. Merchandise includes dresses, knitwear, coats and blouses that range from size 38-54.

German designer Oliver Jung is known for his elegant and chic large size clothing. Although he wasn't born in France, his brand was built out of Paris and his clothing is now being sold in over 250 stores in France.
