These very easy DIY aromatherapy bath sachets are going to become a staple in your self-care routine. Adding essential oils and ingredients like chamomile, lavender or oats is going to change your bath game and make you feel like you’re at a spa every time you take one.

 

Aromatherapy is one of the most effective self-care methods as it triggers the relaxation necessary for self-care. I´m going to share my favourite scents and mixes but feel free to experiment and create sachets that target your specific needs.

Mix 1 – Chamomile and lavender – a soothing, stress relieving mix, perfect for the nights when you want to wind down from a hard day.

 

You will need:

 

-       A little fabric bag

-       Epsom salt – relaxes the muscles, relieves pain

-       Dried chamomile – soothes your mind and body, reduces redness, minimises scars and marks

-       Lavender essential oil – invigorates your mood, combats stress

-       Coconut oil – improves skin elasticity

-       Oatmeal – a great moisturizer, eases inflammations

 

Mix 2 – Peppermint – a detox bath, improves circulation

 

-       A little fabric bag

-       Epsom salt - relaxes the muscles, relieves pain

-       Peppermint tea – naturally invigorating and rejuvenating. Reduces stress and lifts up your mood.

-       Peppermint essential oil – Boosts circulation, soothes the mind. Do not use too much, this oil is very concentrated. A few drops mixed with coconut oil will be enough.

-       Coconut oil - improves skin elasticity

-       Oatmeal – a great moisturizer, eases inflammations  

 

 

 

Step 1

 

Put all your dry ingredients in even proportions into your fabric bag. 

 Step 2 

Mix your essential oil with coconut oil. Coconut oil acts as a carrier that will not allow the essential oil to burn your skin or cause any irritation. Add the mixed oils into your bag.

 

Step 3

Hang your bag on the tap, so the water pours straight through your aromatic masterpiece, or just throw it into the water when the bath is already full.

 

Other ingredients you might use in your mixes:

 

-       Ginger – causes toxins to be released through sweat

-       Milk – softens your skin

-       Honey – antibacterial, anti- aging and moisturizing

-       Roses – fights anxiety

 

Make some time for yourself to practice self-care with these bath sachets and soak in all the benefits of aromatherapy. Leave feeling stress free and smelling divine.
