8 FLORAL FINDS FOR THE FATSHIONISTA
Need a bridge between the seasons? Floral print can assure a smooth transition between the slushy sloughs of winter and the fresh beginnings of spring. Think it’s too early to start bringing out the florals? Take a look at fashion blogger Becca of A Fat Fox braving the winter (and giving off a modern Sansa Stark vibe, just look at her hair and tell me you didn’t think the same thing) in a sweet pastel printed dress and colorful tights. Inspired by Becca’s look, I’ve decided to compile a list of my eight favorite plus size floral pieces, all of which can be found online.
1) This Very Charming Dress found at Modcloth is stunning with its rich floral patten and pops of azure blue. It would look perfect on a chilly night with tights, ballet flats and a blazer or on a warmer spring day with wedges and a wide brimmed hat.
2) If you're looking for a more casual floral print to wear on a busy weekend with the kids, or for running errands in, these jogger pants from Torrid are for you. A stylish upgrade from sweatpants, wear these joggers with a pullover and a pair of cute sneakers for a trip to the market, or upgrade with a pair of strappy sandals and a crop top for a day out with friends.
3) This Floral Affair Dress from City Chic is a showstopper with its beautiful orchid print and lace detailing. Since the dress has so many elements going for it already, I would suggest simply pairing it with a black shoe and maybe a matching black stone bracelet.
4) With a more muted color palette, this Beautiful Blends Top from Modcloth would look perfect paired with an infinity scarf, a pair of jeggings, and flats for a casual day out.
5) If you're looking to stand out in a sea of boring neutrals, this floral print dress is the one for you. With its vibrant colors and cut-out back, this skater dress from Posh Shoppe is sure to make a stylish statement. Complete the look with a pair of wedge sandals and a light denim jacket.
6) From Tatyana, this floral print circle dress with a full skirt and sweetheart neckline is nothing short of adorable. Satisfy the rockabilly in you by pairing this dress with a red lip, hair scarf, and pair of kitten heels.
7) This floral print kimono from Love Culture is a must have for heading into the warmer months. As shown above it looks great with a tank and a maxi skirt, but it would also look fabulous styled with a pair of denim shorts and a black tee.
8) Last, but certainly not least, is the sheer split sleeve floral dress from Posh Shoppe. With its plunge neckline and fitted bodice, this dress is perfect for any special occasion. Just slip on a pair of heels, and you're ready for the night.
On a last note, I'd like to thank Becca for letting us use her pictures! Don't forget to check out her blog, which is filled with foxy fatshion. I swear you won't be disappointed.
