SORELLA SWIM DESIGNER JESSICA PETERSON SHOOTS IN PUERTO RICO

It is a fact that Puerto Rico has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and is a hot spot for photo shoots. La Playuela (Playa Sucia) in Cabo Rojo is one of them, it is a picture perfect beach, having dramatic scenery, gorgeous clear water, natural bridges, unmatched Caribbean views, sights of the most attractive lighthouse on the island, hidden caves, private beach coves to explore, and bird watching. Additionally, it is quiet and uncrowded most of the year. La Playuela is a true Caribbean hidden treasure.
Don't let the name of this beach fool you (Sucia means dirty), the waters are clean, warm and the sand is white and soft. The current argument is it's name, some people call it La Playuela and some Playa Sucia. The people that live in Puerto Rico have always known it to be called Playa Sucia, so we will refer to it as such, however many visitors know it as La Playuela (and that's ok too).
This is why Designer Jessica Petersen from Sorella Swim based in California decided to shoot some of her 2015 Curvy Swimsuit Collection there. Be inspired Boutique styled the shoot with a beautiful kimono, a lovely orange blouse, and jewelry. Sorella Swim provides women with curves luxe, timelessly fashionable swimwear that is comfortable enough to wear all day long. "Designed with Curves in Mind" is the brand's tagline, which refers to Peterson's belief that all women, regardless of their weight, shape, or size should have access to high-quality and high-fashion apparel. Puerto Rico is called "paradise" by many designers that come and do photo shoots on the island, and for good reason.
MARTA RIVERA is an English Professor and plus size advocate on an island that mostly recognizes thin models, she is making sure that fashion designers, magazines, and other media around the world acknowledge the beauty of curvy models from Puerto Rico.
