Meet the artist

Emily Kaboni is a First Nations Canadian artist living in Stockholm, Sweden.

She has been inspired by simple, nude, illustrative women and really wanted to give it a try. Emily enjoys creating body positive collages because that is where her identity lies and is a reflection of herself.  She says, "I find purity, innocence and a sense of endearment in my compositions."

The paper illustration process begins with a sketch followed by arranging paper cuts into a collage. Each limb/piece is separate and layered to create the final formation. She experiments with poses, shapes, and colors which have resulted in the Monstera Girl, Namaste Girl, and Zen Girl Series.
