Artist Statement: 
“My work is centered around visibility and acceptance of marginalized love and physical forms. My figures are nude, and commonly found in an embrace of some kind. I find this to be a way to get directly at what appears to make us different, and what makes us all exactly the same. My figures are all different sizes and shapes, and are a vast array of bright colors, but their common link is their humanity, capacity for love, and longing for connection. As a queer person, I feel passionately that representation matters. It is so much harder to see your worth if it is never reflected back to you in any meaningful, visual way. I know that my confidence comes almost completely from seeing my sexuality, my body-type, my feelings, and my desires represented in mainstream media in some way.”
