Artist statement:

My name is Adisa Kareem. I'm a Caribbean-American illustrator from Hartford, CT, based in Atlanta, Georgia. One of my biggest enjoyments is creating backgrounds and environments with visual interests. My hobbies include playing fantasy RPGs, working out, and enjoying time spent with friends around Atlanta and family in CT. When it comes to illustration, I find myself having the most fun working with others on collaborative projects. Throughout my time as a SCAD student, I've worked on a handful of student films providing background paintings and layouts. Some of these projects include "My Playmate From Hell" and "Sew Me A River." I'm always excited to work with other creators of different skills since it allows me to hone in what I love creating and how to adapt and apply it to another individual's project.
