Statement
I spent most of my childhood either at the public library with stacks of books or running around outside with friends, and this is where most of the inspiration for my work comes from. I love drawing plants, animals, cozy settings, and people of all shapes and sizes. Although I loved books as a kid, I didn't see many characters in books who looked like me, and I'd like to change that through my work; for myself and others who felt left out as kids. I hope that my art brings people warmth, happiness, and teaches them something about themselves, others, or the world around us.
