“Hi! My name is Angee Montgomery, and I am a visual artist specializing in narrative painting and sculpture. I graduated with a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Memphis, and after many years of prowling local creative jobs, I finally found my true happy place back where I began - using media to create a visual dialog with my surroundings, history and behavior. My work is a never-ending investigation of the human condition, conjured up by looking out into the world to only better understand similarities within us all (by us, I mean humans). My work is often labeled as surreal, serious yet playful, emotional, and poetic. I enjoy putting random imagery together to weave a new reality, stirring up the pot, prompting unlikely conversations, and pushing the boundaries of material and technique.”
