“Long before COVID-19, I have been confined to my room due to severe chronic illness. Art has been a life saver for me, allowing me to escape physical constraints and let my mind wander wherever it wants. Both the beauty and melancholy of solitude are ongoing themes for that reason. 

I love working in watercolor and gouache because water brings an element of unpredictability that will always surprise you in the process.”
